Fairfax County Emergency Preparedness Guide

Fairfax County has produce an emergency preparedness guide entitled, "Your Guide to Emergency Preparedness."  The Guide offers detailed information on how to prepare for different kinds of emergency events.  It includes tips on developing a family plan, creating an emergency preparedness kit for your home and automobile, making financial preparations, preparing for extended loss of power, etc.  For further information, contact Kathy Simmons in the County's Office of Public Affairs at 703-324-3187.

 

Reston Association Design Review Board - Guidelines for Cluster Housing.

If you are considering making changes to your property or the exterior of your townhouse, these are things which require Design Review Board approval.  Before you submit your application to the DRB, you may want to consult the DRB's guidelines for various features or objects.  to go to the Guidelines for Cluster HousingOnce you're there, you will need to scroll down a bit where you will find a whole set of links for separate guidelines, each tailored to a specific item.  Each of these links will provide you with a copy of the detailed guideline in Adobe PDF format.  For the whole story on the RA covenants, .  If you just want a copy of the DRB Application Form, see the next paragraph.  Remember that before you submit your application to the DRB, it must be signed by the homeowners on either side of your house, and then signed by a member of the Board of Directors.  to get contact information for members of the Board of Directors.
